Prior to starting his own opinion research practice, Paul served for three years as the director of public opinion research for the National Association of Homebuilders in Washington, D.C. He was responsible for opinion research and political polling for a highly successful ballot issue management program. With Paul's guidance the program executed successful campaigns at the state, county and local levels. Before that, he served as the director of public opinion research for a statewide political party.
During his career, Paul has worked on opinion research studies, issues and campaigns in 38 different states throughout the country, as well assisting emerging democracies in East Timor, Indonesia, Iraq and Thailand. In addition to his work commissioned specifically by clients, he also fields regular statewide omnibus surveys in Florida, Ohio and Washington state.
Paul holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Ohio University. He also has completed certification as a methodologist at the Institute for Data Sciences. His training includes areas of advanced opinion research, analysis and qualitative methods.
Among the multitude of hobbies and interests Paul has, his favorite ones are traveling, water sports and attending rock concerts.
